Silk & Flame - Beard Balm 2oz

My name is Angela, I am the woman behind Silk and Flame Co. ! I initially created these fragrances solely for my piece of mind. The life that I was accustomed to abruptly changed in 2018. The place I called home was hit by "Michael,"a category 5 hurricane. I had been at the same job since 06. Then, a few days before the hurricane hit, I found out that we were expecting! Life was great, I was comfortable with my life. We lost everything during that hurricane except our lives! My family in Tampa, FL, didn't hesitate to open up their home to us; all while stationed overseas. We are thankful for them. Adjusting and starting over was hard for us. New school for my oldest. Then, I lost my first and only job I knew. Sitting in the house day in and day out was something I wasn't used to. I no longer felt important, I felt like I didn't have a purpose anymore. I lost my spark! Life was still going on, I felt stuck in time. Depression hit me like a boulder!! After having my youngest, I was still unhappy and struggling to adjust to our new life in Tampa. It's difficult when you catch yourself not being you. I questioned God so many times during that time! Let me say this, when you lose everything; you have no choice but to run towards God! Christmas 2019, my mother purchased a candle making kit as a gift to me. We've had many conversations about my love for candles and smell-good items. It felt good to know that she listened and remembered our talks about something so small. She went out of her way to bring happiness and peace into my life. It took off from there! I really wanted to master the science behind making candles. And did lol! Once I figured out candles, I went on to master wax melts, reed diffusers, and car fresheners. Then came carpet fresheners, room+linen sprays. I had the whole SCENT catalog! I put a lot of prayer, love, and careful thought into all of my products.
